Ear infections, new products, weight loss

Guess I should blog more frequently so I wouldn't have so many different things to catch up with here.  LOL  Soooooo, little David has been battling double ear infections for about 6 weeks now.  Today, we went back in for another look and they are both bulging and red.  He's used all the medicines doc recommended, but now he was left with no choice but to get a series of shots for three days in a row.  And, due to his weight, he has to get TWO shots each of the days.  Today was the first set.  Poor little guy.  :(  I felt so badly for him.  But what can ya do?  If his ears are not cleared up by Monday, then he will have to go in to get tubes in his ears.  Ugh.  Of course, the rest of us are still sick with a cough that won't go away.  But luckily it hasn't amounted to more than that.

So Thanksgiving was nice.  We had a lot of extended family in from all over the country due to the passing of my great-uncle.  He had alzheimers for quite a while and had starting drifting downhill in recent months.  I think it was a blessing that he passed quietly in his sleep on the 22nd.  He was 85 years old.  So his three boys and their families, and his surviving sisters and their families, and all his friends from over the years, came to pay respects on Black Friday.  Gave a new and different meaning to the day for our family.  But, through it all, there were some wonderful stories and pictures shared, families reaquainted with distance relatives not seen in decades, and an nice sense of togetherness shared by all.

In my personal weight loss journey, I'm officially down 21 pounds from 4 weeks ago.  Not too shabby!  I just wish I could figure out where the lost weight is from because my clothes still fit the same and I don't really feel any differently.  I suppose I need to start doing some weight lifting now so that the jiggle will firm up.  I bet that will make a difference in how my clothes fit.

Phew - well, I think that about wraps things up.  Got a couple of birthday parties on Saturday and a photo session on Sunday.  Then another session the following Saturday.  Also have to take Christopher to the pediatric dentist cuz he wasn't able to handle getting a filling done today at the regular dentist.  ***sigh***
